                      Gerard Heintz.

                      Picture
Gerard Heintz, a Queens New York native, is a staple in the commercial dance world. His career has taken him to over 40 countries and nearly 300 cities as a teacher, dancer and choreographer. Most recently Gerard finished the “M.A.S. 2011 World Tour” with RIcky Martin, where Gerards’ professionalism and work ethic landed him as Dance Captain responsible for making sure the integrity of the show remained the same through out the world. With “Ricky” Gerard closed the 2011 “Pan-American Games” in Guadalajara, Mexico performing in front of 80.000 in audience full of World Leaders, Olympians and faces from all over the world , and nearly 30 million live on television...it was a very special moment in his career.

Gerards’ fun and easy going personality landed him one of his favorite jobs he could ever ask to be on ... a regular dancer on one of the most famous shows in the world “Saturday Night Live” from 2002 and still performing with the SNL group ,Gerard has worked with some of the biggest names in Entertainment and Politics.  From Robert Di Nero, Jennifer Garner, Queen Latifah , AL Gore just to name a few.  This is one the highest accomplishments for Gerard to be working with SNL for 10 years.

Thats not the only Television Gerard has done, Gerard and his group ICONic, were part of starting a show that changed dance forever .. being Finalist on MTV’s “Americas Best Dance Crew”. ICONic was a group of professional NY based dancers that mixed broadway with hip hop to make it very far in the competition and inspired their next group of dancers “The ICONic BOYZ” to enter the competition 6 years later and make it to the finals, making the ICONic Boyz one of the most successful groups ever on the show, Iconic was choreographed and created by famed teacher and choreographer Geo Hubela, who Gerard is highly inspired by and is lucky to call a friend.

From performing on or with Americas Got Talent, Hogans Knows Best, Brooke Knows Best , MTV’s MAde, Guiding Light, Disney, Nickelodeon, MTV Music Awards, ABC’s”NIGHT of Too Many Stars”, Latin Grammys, Peoples Choice Awards, Latin Teen Choice Awards , Black Eyed Peas, NSYNC, Britney Spears, Paulina Rubio, Christina Aguilera and many others Gerard has honed is performing skills which has allowed him many opportunities in the entertainment world ... one being movies.

The last movie Gerard filmed was Step Up 3d, Gerard originally booked as the leads dance double but because of a major height difference with Gerard and the lead character Gerard was given a principle role and was so happy to be part of such a great franchise of films and to work with some of the best dancers in the world and also with his best friend ..... his brother. Gerard got his brother to be a Featured extra and the director liked him so much Raymond worked more days than Gerard on the film.“Music & Lyrics” , “When in Rome”, “Standing Ovation” and “ This Is It “ are a few other movies Gerard has been in .. The most incredible moment for Gerard has been Performing for Michael Jackson in his final auditions for his “This Is It” show .. Gerard feels Michael Jackson is the reason that the commercial dance world has evolved so much and dancers are now able to live a comfortable life when they take their careers seriously.

From teaching all over the world, performing in almost every major arena in the US and some of the most amazing places around the world..... from music videos , television, movies , industrials , commercials and tours, Gerard has made a career for himself that has panned 3 decades from 1998 to 2012 and Gerard has no plans on stopping anytime soon.
